John Hancock Announces Changes to Long Term Care Insurance Names

January 1, 2010

John Hancock Life Insurance Company administers long term care insurance for insurance companies that were formerly known as "Fortis".  Fortis is a worldwide financial services company that chose to rename its companies that operate in the United States.  As a result, the following insurance company names have been changed and policy owners were notified in December 2005.  No other aspect of the insurance has changed, and these health insurance policies are still administered by John Hancock Life Insurance Company.  In short, other than a notice of name change, the policy owners will be unaffected by the change.
